Design and Technology
At our school, Design and Technology (DT) is taught using the Kapow Primary scheme of work. This curriculum provides a structured and progressive approach that helps pupils develop practical skills, creativity and problem-solving abilities.
Through engaging projects, pupils explore designing, making and evaluating a range of products using different materials and techniques. Kapow Primary encourages children to think critically, plan carefully and refine their ideas while learning about real-world applications of DT.
Our aim is for pupils to develop confidence in their practical abilities, enjoy experimenting with materials and tools and understand how design and technology impacts daily life. DT at our school inspires creativity, innovation and a sense of pride in making.
